Project: Instructions for Correct Assembly

The Royal Court set us the unusual brief of creating a campaign for their show, Instructions for Correct Assembly, that felt like a "flat-pack furniture line". The rest should be simple enough, right…?

One of the most interesting parts of this job for us was experimenting with how much detail a line-drawing of a real person needed in order to be recognisable. The actor (Brian Vernel) went through some interesting ‘facial surgery’ while we were finding the right balance.

The Royal Court also asked us to write a blog for them about the process, which you can read here.
